In collaboration with sound designer Zhu Tiantian, Sound Message Board was commissioned by the V&A Museum as part of the Friday Late – Beijing event.

As the audience writes on the board, the vibration is captured by audio devices, manipulated and relayed back to the participants. It encourages audience to focus on sound itself, independent from cause and meaning. In the same vein, we used tangram as graphics, responding to the audio in a random fashion.
