    • 12 is a London-based multidisciplinary design studio. Founded by a graphic designer, Shi Yuan and and economist, Rex Lifan Chen in 2009, 12 operates in and between fields of design, art, spatial practice and social affairs. 12 is divided into three units: Twelve, 011235 and 3/4/5.

    Twelve
    provides graphic design services and specialises in typography;

    011235
    is an expansive visual-culture unit that works with institutions and collaborates with architects, writers and artists;

    3/4/5
    is a think tank set up to interrogate and investigate contemporary ethical and social issues which are related to design.

    Our design methodology has strong foundations in research and analysis, with an emphasis on typography. Twelve offers design services including print, identity, exhibition and digital applications. Operating locally, we produce works for international projects across cultural and commercial sectors including galleries, exhibitions and companies.
